St. John’s invites you to HymnStock, a 24-hour hymn marathon in which we’ll sing every verse of every hymn in the green Lutheran Book of Worship. We’re celebrating the 500th anniversary of the the first Lutheran hymnal and a milestone in our organ project. We’ll be joined by over 30 local and international organists and musicians, and you’re invited to sing along, whether it’s the entire hymnal or just a few hymns whenever it fits in your schedule. Food and coffee will be served throughout the event. We’re going to start singing at 8 AM on Friday, June 14, and we’ll wrap up around 10:30 Saturday morning, including a celebration brunch. (Yes, we’ll be singing all night!) HymnStock is free and open to all! A free-will donations will support the Organ Project.
